Service Level Agreement

What Schools Receive

  • Schools choosing to join the scheme will not have to worry about where to get advice when they need it as our experienced associate HR consultants will be dedicated to look after you. 
  • Advice can be sought between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm every working day and at other times by agreement with the consultant.
  • Advice will be provided on terms and conditions of employment, pay and HR issues. 
  • Your HR consultant will respond to your enquiries by email, by phone questions and signpost you to resources on the schools portal.
  • Our HR consultants will provide you with professional consultancy advice by telephone and email. In addition, they will undertake video conferences, or undertake site visits for meetings with Headteachers, Senior Leaders and Governors. 
  • Our HR consultants will attend Hearings and Appeals during the working day and in the evenings, provided that there is early consultation on dates and times.

HR Advice, Guidance and Consultancy
We offer two choices of service levels, HSLA CORE entry level and HSLA Premium.
The number of hours specified within our entry level service level agreement are based on a schools average HR support requirement in any given subscription year.

  1. HSLA CORE - 9 hours HR advice, guidance and consultancy service support. 
    The service recognises that demand will vary based on need so additional hours can be purchased.
    Recruitment P-A-Y-G, fixed price per application via our Diocesan Recruitment Site powered by E-teach.
  2. HSLA Premium - Unlimited HR advice, guidance and consultancy service support.
    Unlimited recruitment via our Diocesan Recruitment Site powered by E-teach.

Diocesan HR Consultant Support
This is highly specialised work requiring dedicated targeted support over a sustained period or specific pieces of added value HR or OD Consultancy not specified in our SLA buyback.
Our HR consultants will discuss with you in advance. We negotiate our time with you for any work carried out and charge pro-rata according to need.
We include a schedule of fees as a guide to half or full days. Our approach ensures a non-judgmental confidential working partnership to identify the type of support required and agree a date and time for specialist services or training that is most efficient and effective

Our approved GDBE Partner Services
Our service level subscription provides access to online approved partner services delivered in partnership with carefully selected third party providers.
These approved Partner Services are 'P-A-Y-G' and service provision fees have been negotiated in advance on behalf of the Guildford Diocesan Board of Education. 

Each subscribed school or academy may access approved partner service providers independently via our schools portal with the benefit of accessing services at our Diocesan Group Rates for

  • Diocesan recruitment site and applicant management system
  • DBS and support for the Single Central Record
  • Occupational Health
  • Employee Assistance

Service Level Agreement Subscription
The HsLA Core Service Level is for a period of one year starting on 1st April and will continue for successive periods for a minimum of two years.
The HsLA Premium Service Level is for a period of one year starting on 1st April and will continue for successive periods for a minimum of two years.

Termination of the Service
Should a school wish to terminate the service before the end of the agreed term, the following terms apply:

  1. Three months' notice of the intention to terminate must be given, in writing, to the contact details given below:
    To the Diocesan Director of Education
    Guildford Diocesan Board of Education (GDBE) at Church House,
    Guildford, 20 Alan Turing Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7YF.
     
  2. The notice must be delivered by a 'signature on delivery service' to the Guildford Diocesan Board of Education (GDBE) at Church House, Guildford, 20 Alan Turing Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7YF.
  3. Fees equivalent to six months payments will be due at the point of termination to account for early termination.
  4. Any refund of fees will be made at the point the service ceases.
