An annual service agreement between our family of schools and the Guildford Diocesan Board of Education.
Since September 2018 church schools have been inspected under the new SIAMS Schedule. The SIAMS Inspection cycle is every five years, unless a school is graded satisfactory in which case the window is every three years.
Our approach is mid-point between inspections we contact you to arrange a time to visit and to discuss how the school is progressing and create an action plan. Please note this visit is not a ‘mock’ SIAMS.
4 terms (one year) before an inspection our Lead Schools Officer for Christian Distinctiveness invites schools to attend ‘train-the-trainer’ course to deliver ‘Whole Staff preparation for SIAMS’ package for use direct in school.
Post Inspection Support—in circumstances where schools are given a SIAMS inspection judgement of less than good our Lead Schools Officer for Christian Distinctiveness will visit the following term to create an action plan with the school or academy.
Further central training is provided for school staff and Governors at Church House, Guildford and repeats each term. This can be booked using this website Click here

This training is designed specifically around each Church school or Academy Trust's governing body requirements for SIAMS preparation.
Our approach considers in detail the particular needs of each Church school or Academy Trust own governing body, their understanding and preparation toward SIAMS.
What the training involves: Our Education Team will work closely with the Headteacher and Chair of Governors to shape this bespoke training with all preparation and materials included.
Specialist targeted in-school SIAMS Schedule support and training for Secondary Schools.
This year we are delivering the majority of our support in line with the SIAMS Schedule Inspection cycle. Our EsLA is designed specifically to secure and support each school or academy trust's development toward their own individual Christian ethos. The majority of our provision, including the collaborative work we do with schools in preparation for SIAMS, forms the substantial part of the EsLA CORE service level.
We do understand that extra support may be required bespoke to each school or academy trust's own SIAMS development journey.
Our Education Team provide expert consultancy. When you request a member of our Education team to provide bespoke SIAMS, RE or Christian Distinctiveness in-school consultancy services this is in addition to our statutory support for schools and academy trusts.
Our approach ensures a non-judgemental forum working in partnership with you to identify the type of support required and agree a date and time for the support that is most efficient and effective for you at the appropriate time.
Post Inspection Support—in circumstances where schools are given a SIAMS inspection judgement of less than good our Lead Schools Officer for Christian Distinctiveness will visit the following term to create an action plan with the school or academy.
